COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M Aggies’ quarterback Marcel Reed has shared a powerful message from highly touted freshman Conner Weigman, igniting excitement among fans and the college football community.
Reed, a senior captain, revealed Weigman’s message during an exclusive interview with Aggies Insider: “Conner believes that this team has the potential to do something truly special. He’s so excited to be a part of this program and is eager to contribute in any way he can.”
Weigman, a five-star recruit from Bridgeland High School, is considered one of the most promising quarterbacks in the nation. His arrival has generated immense anticipation among Aggies fans, who are eager to see what he can accomplish in Jimbo Fisher’s up-tempo offensive system.
“Conner is a special talent, both on and off the field,” said Reed. “His work ethic and leadership qualities are contagious. I can’t wait to see what he does in an Aggies uniform.”
Reed’s message echoes the sentiments expressed by Fisher, who has praised Weigman’s maturity and poise. “Conner is a winner,” said Fisher. “He has all the tools to be a successful quarterback for us.”
The Aggies are coming off a disappointing 8-4 season, but hopes are high for a resurgence in 2023. The addition of Weigman, along with several other talented newcomers, has given the Aggies a much-needed boost.
“Conner’s message has given us all a lot of confidence,” said safety Antonio Johnson. “He believes in this team, and that’s all the motivation we need.”
The Aggies will kick off their season on September 2nd against the Sam Houston State Bearkats at Kyle Field. All eyes will be on Weigman as he makes his debut in the maroon and white.
