Arizona Men’s Basketball Regains Offensive Form in Easy Win Over Davidson to Open Battle4Atlantis
Paradise Island, Bahamas – The Arizona Wildcats rediscovered their offensive rhythm on Wednesday, cruising to a 99-63 victory over the Davidson Wildcats in the opening round of the Battle4Atlantis tournament. After struggling offensively in their season opener, Arizona caught fire from the field, shooting 56.3% and connecting on 14 three-pointers.
Balanced Scoring Effort
The Wildcats had five players score in double figures, led by Kerr Kriisa‘s 19 points and Azuolas Tubelis‘s 18 points and 10 rebounds. Courtney Ramey added 15 points, while Cedric Henderson and Dalen Terry each chipped in 11.
Fast Start Sets the Tone
Arizona took control of the game early, jumping out to a 15-4 lead in the first five minutes. The Wildcats forced Davidson into turnovers, which led to easy transition baskets. Arizona led by 14 at halftime and never looked back.
Davidson Faces Uphill Battle
Davidson, who entered the tournament as a Cinderella candidate, struggled to keep pace with Arizona’s potent offense. The Wildcats shot 50% from three-point range and made 13 of their 17 free throw attempts.
