Princess Kate has expressed her profound grief for the loss of Estefania Beltran Hernandez, a
“brave and humble” cancer victim whom she had met during her royal tour of Manchester in 2019.

“I am deeply saddened by the news of Estefania’s passing,” Princess Kate said in a statement released on Friday.
“She was a truly inspiring woman who faced her cancer battle with such bravery and humility. I will never
forget her smile and her determination to live life to the fullest.”

Estefania, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 19, met Princess Kate during a
visit to the Teenage Cancer Trust charity in Manchester. Despite her illness, Estefania was actively
involved in raising funds for the charity and supporting other young people with cancer.
